TAJIGUAS ANFO BLAST

My engine company on a standby at the local landfill for an ANFO blast. They found out that it was more cost effective to blast the mountain first, then go in with the big CATS. It saves the dozer blades...

Note: You can see that we ended up being too close. Falling rocks and debris can be seen rolling down a hillside. Offices that are located in mobile trailers were impacted after this blast. One rock the size of a big turkey blasted through the ceiling and onto the computer monitor, desk and keyboard... left a pretty good sized hole in the roof as well. The problem was that it was the supervisors office and he was gone for a week fishing in the Sierra's. Whoops...
